installed the on bike harness, the instructions say to swap pin 18 (White/green) wire. mine is orange. is this because my bike is a 2025 and not a 2024? and does this flash suport my bike being a 2025?

    Hey,

Assuming your ECU part number is one of the part numbers we list as supported, you are using the correct harness, and you are following the correct installation instructions, wire color does not matter. Pin position is what determines the correct connection.

It is completely reasonable to be cautious when the wiring colors do not perfectly match the instructions and to contact us if you are unsure.

Some of our installation documents apply to multiple model years or different motorcycles that use the same flashing pins. Because of this, the OEM wiring colors at the ECU connector may change between models or years. However, for the purposes of flashing, the required ECU connector pin positions remain the same, even if the wire colors are different.

If you, or anyone else who comes across this discussion, is ever unsure whether an installation or connection is correct and safe, please feel free to contact us at sales@ftecu.com before proceeding.
