No Init Response--Due to bad battery?

scott@worroll.comscott@worroll.com Posts: 3Verified User

I received this error when I tried flashing my bike a few days ago (bike side harness)... Came to the forum and read the hardware test for the 4 pin. Through the harness I'm reading 12.35v from red/black and 4.19v from green/black. Without the harness I'm reading the same values. I'm also reading 12.4v at the battery.

I know that's low for the battery, but could that be causing my (too) low voltage at the green/black and not allowing me to connect to the ECU?

    Hi,

I would think you would still be able to connect ok. Have you tried putting your bike on a trickle charger?

    Thanks,

    Jason A.

Thanks. I figured but couldn’t hurt to check.

I’ve charged the battery but haven’t tested what happens under load.

The bike still fires right up but is running rough and doesn’t “smell” like the right tune… chasing idle and extra rich.

This one is on me… would not init ECU using windows in a virtual machine on my Mac… once connected to a PC, flashing resumed 👍
