Kawasaki Z650 RS (2023)

in Bike-Side Flashing Kits

Hello!

I have just purchased a bike-side flashing kit that should be compatible with my Kawasaki Z650 RS (2023): https://www.sportbiketrackgear.com/flashtune-kawasaki-z650-18-23-ecu-type-4-bike-side-tune-kit/

But now, after registering it here on FTECU, I don't see this bike anywhere!!

I have downloaded a few installation instrctions, but not sure if any of them are correct (only have 1 download license left so I don't want to guess/try any more!!)

Now, is my bike supported, or have I been tricked by www.sportbiketrackgear.com?

On the box it says 1500-FT-FTDL4 FlashTune ECU Type 4 + a list of bikes (among them Z650), and on the harness cable itself is says BSHA4 (and a serial no).

If Z650 2023 (and Z650 RS, which should be the same) is supported, which instructions should I download?

    Ok, so I removed the tank and dug out my ECU - it's part number "21175-1611" which does not seem to be supported.

    Guess I'm screwed 😕 Or is there any chance this ECU will be supported in the future?

    It also has the type-16 connector (which seems quite tricky to install the harness on)

    Hey so im currently having a issue similar to yours. Im however im confused about the directions on how to even install it. Did you ever get to that part or am I also screwed?

    Hi, I've been i contact with FlashTune and while they can't flash my ECU model at the moment, it should be possible to support it if they get access to a unit. I have planned to send mine to them, but it's currently not possible to ship packages to US from EU due to uncertainty around customs and tariffs (most shipping companies in the EU are currently not sending anything to the US).

    Do you have the exact same ECU (21175-1611)?

    We are also not sure which harness that would fit. I doubt that the type-4 I have now will work, and FlashTune has not given any answer - they probably need to have a unit to investigate...

    As for the installation - yeah the documentation is quite confusing. But I haven't dealt with that yet. I'm thinking that it will be more clear when I have the correct harness 🙂
