Mate i'm in the exact same situation as you, i've got no idea what the go is with this. I've got the same problem with my R1. Have you worked anything out since you've been getting the errors?
You have a hardware connection issue. If you are using a bike-side harness, please go to the top sticky post titled "ATTENTION: HARDWARE TEST FOR 6-PIN BIKE-SIDE HARNESS" and follow the instructions in the post.
