There are numerous reports on the fz10 forum of the auto blipper not working on the Canadian model (mine included). Has this been fixed?

    Hi,

I'll need some more information and pictures from you to help you.

What is your ECU part number?

What file part number is in your bike?

    Who flashed the ECU?

Which Autoblip harness do you have? Can you send me a few pictures of it including a picture of the part number on the white label?

Do you have the single sensor setup or the old school dual sensor setup?

Does the quickshift still work fine?

Are you running GP shift or Standard shift?

Can you send me a few pictures of your shift linkage setup? Also pictures of where the shift sensor plugs are connected into the harness.

    Thanks,

    Jason A.

It's this issue (posted by 2wheeldynoworks):

"The issue has nothing to do with our mapping, as we've now replicated the same issue for another Canadian customer with completely stock mapping in place. We've contacted FTECU multiple times now about this issue. It seems specific to the Canadian serial numbers ONLY, and ONLY occurs when the Autoblipper is enabled via the FTECU software.

It looks like the issues revolves around gear position sensor reference voltage variations from the Canadian ECU's vs the USA/EU ECU's. They're still working on a fix, last we heard.

    Hi,

Did you ever attach those pictures and the numbers off the cables? I did not see them here unless you emailed them directly to me? If you haven't' please email that directly to me as it's easier for me to see and reply.

    Thanks,

    Jason A.

Has there been any progress fixing this issue?

    Hi,

The fix is to measure the voltage from the gear position sensor in each gear including neutral and email the results and map image to us for adjustment. The problem is there is a lot of variance in voltage from the sensor and has to be adjusted in the map.

Awesome, are there any pictures or videos of the wiring to show where exactly to hook the volt meter up to?

Due to never getting instructions on how to properly get the voltage out of the gear shifter I used a voltmeter wired to try to get the data. The values are in reverse

I now used the ftecu software with the bike attached and got the following values in the "data file"

THese are the correct voltage numbers:

    1 - .76

    N - 1.12

    2 - 1.47

    3 - 2.19

    4 - 2.91

    5 - 3.63

    6 - 4.35
