Status: Verifying program for over 20 mins

Hi this is my first time flashing an ecu and everything went incredibly smoothly except after writing to the ecu the status switched to verifying program and has been verifying for the last 20 mins. Is this typical or has something gone wrong, thank you

    The program is still saying Status: Verifying Program and it has now been one hour since it switched to verifying program

    Close down the Tuning Suite (click the X in the upper right corner), then wait 30 seconds, open it up again, and try to flash again.

    How are you connected to the internet?
