Decel Fuel Cut Backfire

Hello everyone,

I flashed my 2019 Kawasaki Zx6r (Austin Racing decat Exhaust) with an unrestricted file. I did enable the decel fuel cut as it feels great to not have that huge jerk on decel and acceleration. Only problem I have is it backfires with multiple loud pops around 5k rpm in any gear. I know with decel fuel cut enabled allows more fuel and doesn't completely cut it off on deceleration like the stock would. Assuming it has to be running lean/rich. Any recommendations I should do with the PC fuel import or in the situation in general?

    Hi,

    Install block off plates and turn off the Air Switching Valve.

    I have a 2016 R1 anniversary and I have reflashed once. I installed the M4 cat delete, and smog block off plates. Any idea on how to get the popping/ backfiring to go away?

    You can try setting the Disable Injector Decel Cut to FALSE and see if it improves. You may encounter increased engine braking and more abrupt throttle response.

    Make sure that your exhaust gaskets are in good condition, as leakage in that area will help ignite the unburnt fuel.
