Linking ECU to my FTECU license

Hi, need help in connecting my ECU with bench kit.

I had connected the Harness with my PC without the ECU attached to it and it alerted to link the hardware with my user account. I linked the harness hardware with my account but now when I am connecting the ECU the software has not detecting the ECU.

I think I had made a mistake. I should hav connected the harness alongwith the ECU attached in order for ECU to be register with my license.

Let me know how to register my ECU with my licence.

I Hav R1M 2015.

This has been reconciled according to your email. Please follow the software prompts carefully; i.e., when the prompt asks you to disconnect power or turn key off, perform that task first, then click OK. Do not click OK and then perform the task, because the software is looking for the proper sequence.
