Idle Speed adjustment (ECT VS Idle Speed)

Hi

For 2016 Yamaha R1, Could you please explain how the idle speed can be adjusted under (ECT VS Idle Speed)? the numbers/value 19,18,17,13 what do they represent? Let's say if I want to increase idle speed at normal operating temperature when the bike is completely warmed up and increase the idle speed by 100 which numbers should be changed? Do we need to increase the existing number/value or decrease?

Thank you!

The numbers represent ignition timing advance. More ignition advance increases idle rpm, less decreases idle rpm. As specified in the notes in the ECT vs Idle Speed Module, the x axis represents engine coolant temperature, the y axis is rpm. So any number over 13 will increase idle rpm, anything less should drop idle rpm. Since you're talking about when the engine is at normal operating temperature, you will only be dealing with the final column (157 deg.). You will have to play with it a bit to get a feel for how much ignition increase will result in a specified amount of rpm increase.
