no response and write attempt failed even after the "first flash work around"

Customer was trying to write to the ecu for the first time and was getting the "no response, write attempt failed" so I walked the customer through the steps of the"first flash work around" for the yamaha 700's that is on the front of the forum. After attempting the work around, the customer was still getting the "no response, write attempt failed" So we checked the bikeside harness first which passed the test so that wasn't it.

The SOLUTION:

After disabling windows defender on their laptop and performing the "first flash work around" everything worked as it should.
