09-14 Quick Shift Kit

I'm going to order a FT QS kit. I have the bike-side harness installed now, but would like to keep the USB adapter plugged into the ECU and tucked away under the tail fairing. Is there any reason I can't order the type 1 kit opposed to the type 7, and splice into the existing FT wiring? That will allow for easier tuning without having to remove any bodywork to make connections. Unless I am missing something.

    Hi,

    You should never ride the bike around with the USB cable connected to the bike side harness. Please be sure to remove that after every flash is complete. If you'd like to order the Type 1 and splice wires that is ok but do not ride with the cable plugged in please it is not safe.
