Backing Up my ECU

Hello All,


I have a 2013 Yamaha R1 with an ECU that was flashed by the previous owner. I have a CABS auto-blipper and Dynojet QS. I just purchased the flashtune harness to tune the ECU some more. Before I start making any changes I want to backup my existing ECU config.

I don't see where I can do that in the software. Everything is greyed out until I load a map from the server. At that point I have the option to read/write my ECU.

I don't have quite a stock map so I want to save it first.

    If it wasn't flashed with our software, then there's no way to save the existing configuration because our software will overwrite any software that's on there due to security protocols. If it was flashed with our software, has the previous owner transferred the flash license to you? That will allow you to access the previous configuration and save it.

    Thanks Kent. I guess it wasn't flashed with your software because I didn't get a licensing error when I connected it to the web.
