delayed tuning of ecu is this a thing

I have changed maps before went out and ran and it didn't show up on my afr gauge

has this ever happed to anyone?

The load takes and says successful so not sure how it could be but today I went to a track and half way through the day the machine went flat lean out of nowhere. Got back to trailer and left it running sprayed machine down with carb clean thinking I had an intake leak found nothing. I've tuned before and felt the same thing but never really thought much of it.

any ifno or incite would be greatly appreciated

    The software cannot suddenly change by itself. Do you have any error codes showing?
