KDS to OBDII Adaptor Harness

Hi

I recently purchased obd adapter( https://ftecu.com/shop/obdii-diagnostic-adapter-harness-5/ ) and having issue connecting with bluetooth dongle ( https://www.plxdevices.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=897346002092)

the bluetooth dongle works fine with my car but when i connect to the bike with the adapter it wouldn't even turn on...

would you have any idea why it wouldn't or how to make it work?

i tried with key on and with engine on ...

    Hi,

    Is that one of the scanners that makes you select a Make and/or Model when connecting? I've seen car specific scanners not function right before and cheap $20 Autozone ones work with no issue. I've actually personally experienced it here before.

    You can try reflashing the bike with a stock file and see if it connects ok. Although I don't assume that will fix the problem, but it's worth a shot. If that work try copying and pasting your Unrestricted mapping into the Stock file then scan it again to see if it connects or not.

    Hi jason,

    i figured out that my dongle would work only when both pins 4,5 are grounded

    i made ad hoc revision and confirmed that it works fine

    i guess it will be helpful if you could ground both pins from future since some (at least one) dongles would only work that way
