Active Tune Changes to Base Map

Watched the videos explaining how to use Active Tune on Youtube. My question is, does Active Tune with Live Connection Mode enabled make changes to your base map on the fly and save those changes within the ECU on the fly, or do you have to go in through the software after a ride and update those changes to the base map yourself?

When you first use Active Tune, it is starting completely from scratch, so you want to save the first trim tables to your base map so that it has a good starting point the next time you start the engine. Depending on your riding, you may want to save a few future trim tables before shutting off the bike to cover any different riding scenarios (i.e., one ride is mostly cruising through the country, while another is more aggressive through canyons or track riding).

The Active Tune cannot save permanently save changes to fuel maps automatically because it would use up what little memory capacity is left in the ECU.
