Fail no response, followed 6pin hardware connection guide, nothing.

I followed the guide multiple times through and have rewired nearly all wires possible, including cleaning the ground wire/attachment surface and still get fail no response when trying to write a new ECU. The guide is somewhat confusing to me with regard to which wire is red. On my 6 pin harness, one slot has a maroon wire and another has 2 bright pink wires. Any help would be great.

On the Type 3 bike-side harness, position 1 on the USB connector (looking at the wire side with the locking tab on top) has two RED wires going into it. Orange is in position 2, and two Yellow wires are in position 3.
