Cant get FT to read my ECU

New user here trying to get my ecu flashed for R functionality as I have just added a flash tuner quick shifter. Ive double checked my wiring and still can't get my program to recognize my ECU. Bike is also showing c28 and c68 error codes after failing to read my ECU. I hear my fuel primp priming when the USB is connected but cant get it to communicate. Does the bike need to be in dealer mode or is there something ive missed?

    Your bike's ECU is not natively readable, so you cannot read it until you have flashed it.

    What is the part number of your ECU, and the file you are trying to write to it? What type of flash kit (bench or bike-side) are you using?
