2021 ZX-6R - Removing ECU Connector Backing Plate

Any tips on how to remove the backing plate from the black ECU connector? I'm not even sure where the locking tabs are - are they on either side? How do they unlock?

Also, does anyone have suggestions for getting a little more working room with that ECU connector? It's pretty tight in there.

    Got it! It just needed a bit of gentle prying with a right-angle pick. Comes off very easily when you find the correct places to pry - on either wide side of the backing plate, and it slides right off.

    Now to get a little more working room, and finding the nerve to go poking around with the actual wires.
