Hi, 2017 ZX-6R, modified the black connector on the ECU with 3 pins and have good ground.
Before trying to write, I tried to read the stock ECU.
I get a few messages go by in the bottom (status) of the Read ECU dialog, and it then fails at Read, asking if I have harness connected or ignition key ON. I click indicating it's on, it tries again, fails, and throws a system dialog (one I can't hide) saying it failed.
I try the Help menu Interface Test. With Key OFF:
and with key ON:
Any idea? It is a royal PITA to pull the ECU connector.

Hi, sorry to hijack your post, and admins feel free to erase my comment if not the right place.
How in the world did you removed the backing plate on the black connector of the ECU?, I just can't remove the darn thing and I feel like I'm doing something wrong or something missing, if you can point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Have you looked at the install documents for your bike side harness?
yes, there's just one image that doesn't say much, the Suzuki instructions are so much better, they have different connector though
issue resolved.
