Most new bikes are equipped with anti-lock braking systems.
These systems typically utilize a standalone ABS pump / controller assembly with integrated pressure sensors, motor, and electronic control. All of the brake lines route to this unit as well as front and rear wheel speed sensors.
Wheelspeed signals are measured by the ABS assembly for the purposes of anti-lock braking and they are then forwarded to the ECU for other functions like traction control. This means if you are building a race-bike without an ABS assembly the ECU would not be able to use traction control...
enter the ABS delete...
with this lightwieght devive the ABS can be removed without sacrificing the other critial rider aids.
