code 27 found on 2018 abs

so i flashed it once and set it to a unrestricted tune then the code 27 came up. the tuner wont let me see codes it says its a unreadable ecu. i was able to see what code it was by using the service manuaI but that code is not in the manual and the dealer wants to charge me a crazy amount to get the code of the ecu. I re flashed it to more stock settings and the code 27 is still there. how should i proceed is there a patch i can use to get codes or am i just screwed? .

    You are almost certainly not screwed, but trouble codes can sometimes be tricky..

    does the code remain if you use a standard OBD scanner to reset the Codes?
